About the Author

Dr. Jaclyn Janaszak earned her Ph.D. in Literacy from St. John’s University, Queens, New York in 2013 where she taught graduate courses in literacy. While teaching at St. John’s, she also tutored elementary grade students with reading and writing challenges. Jaclyn began her teaching career in 2001 as a nursery school teacher while completing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Adelphi University, Garden City, New York.

Guiding parents of young children is the focus of this website with the goal of fulfilling every parent’s desire to learn how to assist their child in optimal learning. By piquing your child’s curiosity about their environment and supplementing their knowledge through reading, writing, listening, and speaking whenever you are together – by reading books, creating hands-on projects, and engaging in authentic experiences – learning will be robust!
